About the Pollyanna Devotional

The premise of the Pollyanna Devotional is simple: I want to find all of the hopeful verses in the Abrahamic books and post them for myself and others.

Anyone who has read Pollyanna by Eleanor Porter or has seen the Disney movie of the same name knows that Pollyanna, a young optimistic orphan, changes her small town by focusing on the good. In one scene, she tells the town preacher that he should use the joyful verses in the bible during his sermons, and that her own father found over 800 such verses. 

My hope is to use this blog time as a devotional, as lately I've been feeling distant from God and I want to rekindle my faith through rereading God's Words to all of us.

I'll start with the Quran, and then go through Gospel and the Torah.
